At the very start of 2020, our world changed. The coronavirus swept across nations and transformed the way we work, live, and play. The real estate world has been particularly pressured to adapt quickly amid drastic changes in showing, buying and selling property.
Virtual selling is now the name of the game, and our brokers and their teams adapted with such adroitness and dexterity, you’d think they’ve been doing this for centuries. Take a look at how our local offices have been modifying their day-to-day business over the past few months.
For Tioga Broker Chad Shaffer, virtual meetings are all about staying focused on the future ahead.
“I host in my office a daily WebEx huddle, just to touch base with my agents and keep them focused on the future,” said Watson Tioga Broker Chad Shaffer. “It's only 30 minutes in length and we do it Ninja Style.”
Shaffer says he also touches on gratitude and positive thinking during stressful times.
“Our daily themes have been social media and connecting with people virtually, and we wrap it up with a quote about how you can change your future,” said Shaffer.
Assistant Manager of Heathrow Carla Robles said WebEx is their new meeting platform and shared a photo of her virtual office meeting complete with a themed look!

“Our office has always been a fun bunch, and we know that they are missing the interaction we have on Tuesdays,” said Robles. “We wanted to add some fun to the web meetings and decided to theme our WebEx meetings, with one of them being Hat Day!”
Robles said interaction and participation in virtual meetings have been a big hit.
“…everyone was so excited to see each other and chat about their hats,” said Robles. “Since then, we have done Mask Day and Crazy Hair Day. What will be next?”
