Watson Orange Park agent, Mark Feagle, reeled in a big first-place win for the Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament 2021 single-engine division!
According to the official Kingfish Tournament website, the tournament is held each year in July at Jim King Park & Boat Ramp on the Intracoastal west and is one of the largest kingfish tournaments in the Southeast. In addition to the General Tournament, the event includes a Junior Angler Offshore Tournament, a food festival, and live entertainment.
This year, the tournament took place July 12-17 and was the 41st annual tournament. More than 300 boats fish the week-long event for thousands of dollars in prizes.
Mark Feagle is known throughout Watson as an avid boater and saltwater fisher, so he is no stranger to the tournament’s challenges.
“I love the water, and fishing is a way for me and the family to get away from the crazy things going on with the world,” said Feagle.
This year, he placed first in the single-engine division. And 5th place overall! The prize? A brand-new Yamaha motor for his boat!
“My thoughts are, if you don’t give it a try you will never know if you can win,” said Feagle. “I really like entering charitable tournaments because it helps our local community,” said Feagle.
Congratulations to Mark on your big win! Way to make Watson proud!
