The Season of Giving at Watson

We were so happy to see that several Watson offices got into the spirit of giving this holiday season with toy drives and donation collections to give back to their communities.

Participating offices included St. Augustine, Port St. Lucie, ChampionsGate, Longwood and Wekiva.

The Wekiva office has been collecting gifts for Toys for Tots for a few years. Local organizations, including the Sweetwater Oaks Garden Club nearby and Pool Troopers, also collect toys individually and bring them to the office for collection.

“The Longwood office decided to jump into the action this year for the first time as well,” said VP/Managing Broker Sarita Cabrera. “Both offices were very successful in their toy collections for needy families.”

“The Foundation is going to have to make another trip to the office to pick up all the gifts that continue to come in...” said Sarita.

What a success!

The ChampionsGate office has their own tradition for giving back each year called Angel Gifts, a program that donates toys and food to help First Friday Kids Support Group.

“The office has supported this non-profit organization for at least the last five years,” said VP/Managing Broker Ellen Thunnell. “It brings everyone great joy during the holiday season!”

Down in Port St. Lucie and Vero, the Watson offices collected several boxes of toys and donations to provide to their communities.

“The toy drive was a success, and most toys were gifted by our wonderful agents!” said VP/Managing Broker Geannina Mejia-Acevedo.

In the St. Augustine office, the spirit of giving is alive and well! The office purchased brand-new toys for the St. Augustine Sertoma Club for needy children in St. Johns County. According to their website, the Sertoma Club works within the community to serve the needs of individuals who have fallen upon medical, and financial hardship, as well as with at-risk children.

“[We had a] great collection for just two weeks,” said VP/Managing Broker Dianne Pittman. “Agents had a lot of fun with it!”

We really couldn’t be more pleased of our Watson offices and associates of every level for demonstrating the spirit of generosity and giving back to our community this holiday season. You make us proud!

If your office has done some volunteering or community service, let us know so you can be featured in our next issue!
