The Palm Coast office is at it again as they hosted a yard sale in their parking lot to help support the Florida Realtors Disaster Relief Fund, a charity that helps REALTORS® and their employees get back on their feet after a natural disaster.
The event took place on Saturday, October 15, and those in attendance were office manger Amy Dumas and associates Amy Rodgers, Dee Hawkins, Dorothy Thompson, Liz Cote, Jim Dobrosky, Joanna Weiland, Kyle Jorden, Sherry White, and Sue Crohan. The associates dug through their homes in search of items to donate such as home décor, lighting, and other household odds and ends.
Dumas’ husband grilled bratwursts and hotdogs for guests as Watson associates handed out branded koozies and frisbees. Approximately 40 people attended and all told, they raised a little over $600.00 for this great cause.
Partnering with the Palm Coast associates were Flagler County Sheriff's Office and local business partner Carpet One who donated giveaways and prizes.
A special thanks goes out to Kyle Jorden who orchestrated a contest to heighten interest with Outback Steakhouse gift cards as prizes. He also assisted with the set-up and clean-up of the event and volunteered to drive leftover items to the Flagler Humane Society Donation Center when the yard sale ended.
The Florida Realtors Disaster Relief Fund was formed in August of 1992 to assist REALTORS® and their employees who have experienced damage to their homes or offices from natural disasters.
