Some think of volunteering in your community as a task or duty or even a job. But others, like James and Marie Benjamin of the Watson Heathrow office, think of it as an “utmost privilege” said James. That perspective is what drives them to continue their desire to give back to their community.
Every Tuesday and Friday, James and Marie volunteer their time to deliver meals to several different homeless camps, bus/rail stations, areas of downtown Sanford, the Rescue Mission, and a few other locations around the city.
Their charitable efforts are made possible by partnering with Action Church, the Sanford Police Department, and Harvesttime International, a non-profit organization that has been distributing supplies to communities in need for over 25 years.
James and Marie – you inspire us all! For more information on Harvesttime International, visit harvesttime.org.
