Out With the Old, in With the Newly Renovated!

In the aftermath of the COVID pandemic, LaVonda Turner decided that her St. Marys office was ready for a much-needed facelift- and that’s just what it got.

After several months of construction, customers and associates are now proudly greeted by a gorgeous lobby featuring a stone wall donning Watson’s logo, displayed in brushed stainless-steel letters, an open floorplan, new lighting, and luxury wood plank floors. Associates also enjoy a brand-new kitchenette, a spacious conference room in which to meet with customers, and a work room fully equipped with personalized workstations and a large island containing tidy and well-organized cubbies for office supplies. Other upgrades included a brand-new bathroom, high-end rugs, and plush velvet furniture.

The implications of a beautiful work environment for businesses are profound as people are reentering the office environment and the aesthetics of workplaces and its impact on employee wellbeing boost productivity and retention. A “home-like” atmosphere makes people feel at ease, enables them to get up and walk around, grab a cup of coffee, or socialize over lunch in a kitchen setting.

Another huge perk is the impact on Watson’s customers. If you want to improve your customer experience, you should start by looking around the office and ask yourself how guests feel when they enter your place of business. This points to elements that separate extraordinary businesses from the subpar.

Turner states of the recent changes: “We love it and we’re getting rave reviews from customers, families, and tenants.” I think that says it all!
