On December 20, 2023, Watson Realty took the initiative to provide the Heathrow office associates (Central Florida Associates) with an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR) training course, presented at Addition Financial Credit Union and sponsored by Watson Mortgage and Watson Title of Central Florida. The associates attended a core designation course which gets them further to achieving the ABR designation.
The ABR designation is defined by National Association of Realtors (NAR) as a designation for real estate buyer's agents who focus on working directly with buyer-clients at every stage of the home-buying process, according to their website. You can achieve the full designation by completed the core two-day courses from a list on their website, as well as pass the ABR exam.
According to Managing Broker Julio Sevilla, this is possibly one of the first trainings for ABR by a brokerage, and certainly a welcomed one. “This proactive approach demonstrates their dedication to equipping us, their agents, with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in our roles,” said Sevilla.
The ABR training course provides agents with the certification and designation of distinguished agents in the industry. Sevilla further notes that the training enhances his and his fellow agents’ abilities and keeps them well-prepared for an ever-changing market. Previously, the Central and South Florida Brokers were all presented the Broker version of the ABR to better assist their associates as the industries adjusts to the current market.
